Hello everyone,
Meeting Asclepius had a
little different approach than the other meditations. In picturing a person who is wise, I chose my
husband of 23 years. Even though He literally
was not far from me, I had a difficult time keeping his face in my mind. Next we were to picture a white light on the
forehead, then the throat, and then the chest.
Each time I did this I found it more difficult to hold my husband’s face
in my mind. I am not sure why it became
more difficult. By the time we were done
with the meditation and I was back on my plain, I did feel more relaxed and
centered. On the other hand, I am still
boggled as to why I couldn’t picture him.
Maybe it was too much stimulation.
These practices we are
doing have really helped my attitude in life.
I am calmer and have learned to let go of the extra things that we
stressing me out. Even after this class
is over, I hope to get better at meditation so that I can find an even better
calming and wellness in my life. I feel
if I am to do this I will practice my exercises in the evening as I have been
doing. This has been working well for me
so far, so eventually when I get better, I will increase the times.
I believe that this is a
simple meaning. If we learn something
and know the benefits of the experience, then we will be able to show and share
this with others. But it really isn’t
possible to have that same knowledge and then share it with someone else. I think that would probably be a lie if you
have not really received the information.
In the health and wellness
profession there needs to be a certain amount of knowledge, experience, and
respect. If you don’t have this and have
a patient who is in need of more information you will need to find it, just don’t
wing it and make it up. This could cause
harm.
Yes, you have an obligation
to your clients. If you are not
practicing the same thing you are preaching, how can they understand how well
it works. In order to implement psychological and
spiritual growth in my personal life, I will take the information from this
course, as well as teachings from a professional in meditation and practice
this so that I will be on the right track to achieving the wellness. If I am practicing this on a regular basis,
it should show in my personality and confidence.

Erika, maybe you could not hold that image because he is not that person of greatness in the sense of healing. Maybe he is the person of greatness in love instead?? I kinda have been doing this already at night when I say my prayers before bed. I started doing this when I had my first child. I say a prayer each night for them to be safe and have good dreams, because I have always had terrible nightmares. As I got older, my prayers got longer and included more people. I listened one day to Sylivia Browne who suggests asking to be encircled by the white light so as to keep evil away, this I now do for everyone in my prayers. I think the more you do these exercises the easier they become. Good luck...

ReplyDeleteI think that it is great that you thought of your husband. That show how important your husband is to you and your life. I wish that I could feel that for my husband, he is very important to me but my grandfather was the first person to pop into my head. He had passed away last May and this meditation brought out feelings that I have been suppressing. That light made me think of him in Heaven looking down at me and that caused me to cry. He was a man of little words but when he did speak you took notice. I believe that the light exercise caused me to focus on different qualities of my grandfather and my relationship with him.
Do you think that you could not focus on your husband as much because you can see him in person and you can refresh his image in just a few minutes?
